Islamabad, Pakistan: A delegation led by Mr. I-jae Jang, the Honorable Secretary from the Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea, arrived in Pakistan for a series of important meetings with key stakeholders. The visit aimed to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen cooperation between the two nations in areas concerning the environment and investment opportunities.

The Korean delegation engaged in detailed discussions with prominent Pakistani officials, including the Secretary Power Division, Chairman of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Managing Director of the Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB), and the Secretary of the Board of Investment.

The meeting with the Secretary Power Division revolved around crucial matters related to the power sector, focusing on environmental preservation, energy conservation, and the promotion of sustainable energy initiatives. Both parties exchanged insights and ideas to address the challenges faced in this sector.

In the meeting with the Chairman of NEPRA, the delegation explored ways to enhance environmental regulations in the energy industry. The discussions also emphasized the importance of eco-friendly practices in power generation and distribution.

The Managing Director of PPIB held discussions with the Korean delegates on facilitating Korean investment in environmentally responsible power projects. The emphasis was on encouraging investments that align with the principles of sustainability and contribute to Pakistan’s energy requirements.

Furthermore, the meeting with the Secretary Board of Investment highlighted the potential for Korean investors in Pakistan’s green projects. Both sides expressed a strong resolve to address any hurdles faced by Korean investors and to promote a conducive environment for sustainable investment.

Throughout the meetings, the Korean delegation showed a keen interest in exploring opportunities to invest in Pakistan’s burgeoning green energy sector and other environmentally friendly ventures.
