LSG Hydro Power attended a public hearing deliberated by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for the grant of concurrence application submitted on 29th November 2023. The company sought the authority’s approval for the concurrence and compliance with technical standards of the Lower Spat Gah Project.
Chaired by the Chairman of NEPRA and attended by key members including Member Law, Member Sindh, Member KPK, Member Tariff, and DG Licensing, the hearing also welcomed stakeholders, interested/affected individuals, and the general public. Notable representatives from LSG Hydro included Mr. Wan Seok Bae (Deputy CEO), Mr. Hyunjoon Choi (COO), Mr. Kashif (Company Secretary), Barrister Asghar (Legal Counsel from Lincoln Law Firm), and Mr. Sohail (Bridge Factor). The event also witnessed the presence of other stakeholders such as the CEO of PEDO, Manager Legal CPPA-G, and representatives from NTDC/NPCC.
During the hearing, LSG Hydro, through its representatives, addressed the issues raised by NEPRA. The committee and stakeholders were provided with comprehensive briefings highlighting the advantages associated with the LSG Hydro Power Project. After the hearing, LSG Hydro expressed its commitment to officially respond to all concerns raised by NEPRA and other entities like CPPAG and NPCC. Additionally, the company conveyed its willingness to engage in further correspondence to facilitate the approval of the Grant of Concurrence, demonstrating a dedication to the project’s continuous development. This engagement underscores LSG Hydro’s proactive approach, transparency, and cooperation in navigating the regulatory processes for the successful realization of the Lower Spat Gah Project.
