In December 2019, project officials and researchers from the Korea Development Institute (KDI), a Korean government agency, conducted an on-site survey and interviews with stakeholders to verify the feasibility of the LSG project. In May 2020, KDI published a report stating that the LSG project was feasible. Based on KDI’s verification, KHNP and project investors decided to invest more resources in the project.
